Why a Capital Campaign…

In 2007 MCHS received a generous gift which made it possible for us to purchase 21 acres next to our Jackson campus on the corner of Woodrow Wilson and North West Street.  We set about to determine how to use the site to best enrich the lives of children.  Below is our master plan:

Campaign Goal for Phase 1:  $6 Million

Phase 1 of our campus will include:

THREE COTTAGES affording the most secure, nurturing and homelike environment possible for children.

An ARTS AND EDUCATION FACILITY with up-to-date classrooms and space for enrichment and support, including art and music therapy as well as vocation training.

The cost of Phase 1 will be $7.16 million, $6 million of which will be funded by charitable gifts secured through our Capital Campaign.  This is an exciting time for our agency, but we know that it will require hard work, detailed plans, involvement by the community and many generous donors from around our State to make this dream come true.
